Born in 1971, of Sicilian origin, Cristiano Giardini definitively trained at the Amsterdam Conservatory under the guidance of Ferdinand Povel. In those years he had the opportunity to follow the lessons of saxophonists such as Joe Lovano, Jerry Bergonzi, Dick Oatts, Bob Malach, Michael Brecker.
Between projects as a leader and as a sideman he has collaborated over the years with musicians of the caliber of Bobby Durham, Wayne Dockery, Charlie Green, Peter Guidi, Candy Dulfer, Lawrence “Butch” Morris, Ben Sidran, Luca Mannutza, Marc Abrams, among others.
Cristiano absolutely loves the Robusto, and the Classic 10MFAN tenor mouthpieces.
