10MFAN Mouthpieces: Brand new craftsman, all new facing curves, full Generation ll mouthpiece updates, metal models, and lower pricing… a HUGE success!

August 27, 2019 By Mark Sepinuck

The first big change I made with my 10MFAN mouthpieces this year, was changing my craftsman. Eric Falcon no longer works on my mouthpiece line and I would like to thank Eric for all his great work for me, and wish him great success with his Falcon Woodwinds line of mouthpieces. The next big change was getting a world-class craftsman to work with me to nail down all the changes I wanted to make to each of my mouthpieces models based on the fantastic customer feedback.
I have made all the necessary changes to make these the absolute finest original design mouthpieces in the marketplace, In my opinion, it gets no better than this. New have new facing curves that will be loved by everybody. We are under cutting the tables to make the playability it’s absolute best and the chambers have been adjusted. VERY player friendly. When the changes were perfect for me, I immediately introduced the new pieces, which have become my newly updated Generation ll mouthpiece line. All of my models have these updates. The feedback since then has been incredible! The new look is that the white paint has been replaced with gold. My black hard rubber Generation ll mouthpieces have gold paint, and have USA stamped on the side. The playing experience has been transformed with these great designs, and I am as proud as I could possibly be with all of the changes we have made here this past year with my 10MFAN Mouthpiece Company. The work being done now has put these mouthpieces at their absolute peak. The feedback I am getting from players all over the world has been absolutely stellar. The changes people have asked for have been applied, and everyone is in agreement that the mouthpieces are at a whole new level. All of the hard work has really paid off, and the mouthpieces could not play or look any better than they do right now.  All I will say, is that my mouthpieces are in great hands!

I value my clients tremendously and aside from my family, my 10MFAN mouthpiece line means more to me than anything. Listening to the great customer feedback I have received, has allowed me to make these changes needed to put the mouthpieces at their apex. I am truly grateful for this.

The new Generation ll changes have been made to ALL of my 10MFAN tenor and alto mouthpieces. Thank you for all the great feedback! Players all over the world love the new Generation ll 10MFAN pieces.

Facing curves play an integral part in how the player feels about the mouthpiece and the sound. I have listened to feedback and understand that there are many players that wanted different facing curves than what we were doing with Eric Falcon when he was working on my mouthpieces. I have discovered through experimenting with new facing curve options with my new craftsman, I am using more standard facing curves that players are very comfortable with, that allow the designs of my original mouthpieces to do what they were designed to do. The pieces blow full and clear with the right amount of freedom, with all my different mouthpiece models. Great low end, mids, and high end. In other words, a greater balance of the frequencies. The core sound is centered more than ever before, and the pieces play so even top to bottom. The parameters of the sound are tighter, which makes the core sounds huge. The Generation ll pieces play incredibly dialed in. This has changed everything!

By the time you read this, the new changes have already been implemented with my new craftsman for ALL of my updated Generation ll mouthpiece models.

NEW CRAFTSMAN, NEW FACINGS AND UPDATES, DESERVE A NEW DISTINGUISHABLE LOOK: The way to differentiate my new pieces from my old pieces, is that all of the new ones will be painted with gold paint, not the white, they all have U.S.A. engraved on the side, and have a different tip number stamp and star stamp being used. Check out the gorgeous picture below.

10MFAN METAL MOUTHPIECES: Something else that I am very happy to announce, is that my new 10MFAN metal ROBUSTO tenor mouthpiece will be released. The same craftsman doing my hard rubber and Ultem mouthpieces will also be doing my new metal. I AM VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS.

The new changes for my new metal tenor: For my new Robusto metal , we are making the bodies thinner and lighter than before. These will fit tons of ligatures, and make players very happy. I am looking to use a body size similar to the Link metals. I find them comfortable, not too thin, and not too wide. The beaks are also so comfortable on my new metals, and better for me than beaks on the Link metals. The Guardala body size is a little thin for my tastes. Its all about constantly improving what you do. When you stop listening and stop being open to changes, that’s when you stop improving! The facing curves, the tip rails, the resistance, and feel of the pieces, are different from where they were. This is very exciting for me as a player, and for a whole new generation of 10MFAN fans.

Thanks for your support, as always. My goal is to make the finest mouthpieces in the saxophone world, and your suggestions have truly helped change my mouthpieces forever.

All the best, Mark

10MFAN —The year of giving back. New lower pricing all year round!

July 25, 2019 By Mark Sepinuck

Hi guys, I just celebrated my 6th year anniversary making my 10MFAN mouthpiece line, and it’s made me want to give back all year round.

In a move never seen in the mouthpiece world, I’m taking the finest original design hard rubber alto and tenor mouthpieces in the marketplace, to the next level. I have a new world-class craftsman doing all of the incredible hand work on my 10MFAN mouthpieces for me, and everything has been enhanced to the highest level possible with my new Generation ll mouthpieces.

Some of the changes made: I am no longer using Eric Falcon to reface my mouthpieces. The chambers and fhe facing curves have all been adjusted so that the pieces are absolutely at their peak. The curves have changed dramatically for all the models in all the tip openings, and this has made the playing experience off the charts for players! These changes have made the pieces play smoother without any buzz in the sound, and incredibly even top to bottom. Each model is locked in now because of the changes made, so when you blow as hard as you want, the parameters of the sound are tighter and won’t let the pieces get wild or loose feeling. These mouthpieces play incredibly in tune, no matter what volume level you are playing at.

As a major part of my living aside from being a player and an educator, I have sold the best vintage mouthpieces and modern mouthpieces in the marketplace for 35 years. I can honestly tell you that there is nothing out there that I feel even compares to what I am putting out. I say this with great pride because of all the incredibly hard work and efforts that have been made to make these original designs something incredibly special and unique in the marketplace. While everyone else seems to be making “tweaked up” or copy versions of vintage mouthpieces, my goal has always been to make pieces that play better and offer much more versatility and flexibility.

Because my 10MFAN mouthpieces are at their absolute peak, I have decided to do something in the marketplace that’s never done….. I would like to give back to everyone because of the worldwide success, so I will be lowering my prices for my hard rubber mouthpieces so that even more players can enjoy the experience. I would rather sell more hard rubber mouthpieces at a really fair price and get more players playing these, than ask super high prices like I see from other mouthpiece makers. Some of the prices I find absolutely ridiculous, because I know the truth. Metals are more costly to make so that’s why you will see higher prices on those pieces.

Thank you to all the friends I have made with my mouthpiece line, and I look forward to many more as the years go on. Enjoy my new pricing and I hope to see one of my mouthpieces on your saxophones in the near future.

NEW PRICING ALL YEAR ROUND:

ALTO HARD RUBBER AND ORANGE ULTEM PRICES——$365 TENOR HARD RUBBER AND ORANGE ULTEM PRICES—-$385

Best wishes to all of you, Mark Sepinuck

Jamie O’Donnell on his 10mfan Daddy-O alto 5 mouthpiece

March 26, 2019 By Mark Sepinuck

Jamie is a wonderful player living in the UK, and he is absolutely loving this mouthpiece. He has been on a vintage Meyer alto mpc forever, and he tells me he is so excited about what my Daddy-O is allowing him to do. Vibrant sound, better altissimo, bigger body of sound, and all the volume you could ask for in an mpc. His mouthpiece is a 5 tip, which measures .072. Made of the finest german bar stock hard rubber, and meticulously hand finished and heavily test played, one at a time.
